Hoffman Park 1/7/12

Our second park in the "Year of Adventure". This park may have been our favorite of the day. It wasn't the biggest. The bathrooms weren't the bet. We did love the big playground. The park had a couple big kid and a couple little kid swings. The one downside was probably was no drinking fountains. I admit though that we didn't look too hard. The kid favorite was massive playground. It had several slides. Big twisty ones and a double short straight one. The bathrooms weren't great and the men's didn't have a lock and no stalls. It did have nice fields for a soccer game. It also had a nice running path. There was a nice shade tree and an entrance to the secret garden (no garden on the other side just the firlds). Overall jt was clean and we definitely recommend a visit to this park.

20/30 Park. The first park! 1/7/12

So the adventure begins. I'll probably change the format of these over time. We started our park visits at a park called 20/30 park. It was a nice quiet park. There was a large field with a backstop at one corner. It did not have big kid swings or a restroom. The kids favorite part was the square slide. The uneven monkey bars were fun too. It had a huge shade tree that provided some nice shade in the afternoon when we were there. The shade wasn't on the playground or on any benches though. The picnic tables it did have weren't very close to the playground. The park was encircled by a walking path. The pool on the north end of the park was a community pool. It had lots of shade and tables but wasn't open. The community also had a garden. Which was nice to see. Overall it wasn't spectacular but it was quiet and clean.

Let The Fun Begin!!

We decided we wanted to visit all the parks in Tucson. The Tucson Parks and Recreation website says there are 134 parks in Tucson. The number of parks make it feel like a job almost. I know it will be a ton of fun. Check in often as we document our adventure and rate the parks. We hope to put up lots of pictures from each park.
